Steal These 7 Dead Simple Content Ideas

Hey Reader,

If you are a new creator, you have probably faced this situation:

You are staring at your laptop screen.

You want to blame a sibling or boss because of whom you couldn’t plan your content.

With every second passing by, your frustration grows.

Because you genuinely want to post something.

But you just don’t know what to post.

I know it sucks because I have been there.

Life happens and sometimes, you just don’t have the time to plan ahead your content.

But you don’t want to break the content streak, do you?

So in today’s issue, I’m going to share 7 dead simple ideas you can steal right away.

Let’s get started.

1. Share industry news:

  • What’s trending in your industry?
  • And what are the lessons one can learn from the trends?
  • E.g.: Apple recently launched the iPhone 14 lineup and a lot of UI/UX designers, and marketers are sharing how innovative ‘Dynamic Island’ is.

2. Share nuggets from a book you recently read:

  • People are looking for nuggets of information from bestselling books.
  • A lot of people can’t find time to read the entire book.
  • Since you have already read the book, why not synthesize your learnings in the form of a written post?

3. Bust a myth:

  • Every niche or market has beliefs or myths around certain practices.
  • E.g.: In the fitness niche, people usually believe that eating sugar and fat is bad for your health.
  • Although there’s nuance to it and Rohit Bharti illustrates that wonderfully.

4. Share the unexpected:

  • A shocking statistic and a contrarian take are great ways to grab the attention of your audience.
  • E.g.: Ash Rathod knows that everyone shares stats of how many million impressions their posts have generated.
  • He took a different approach and rather shared these statistics.

5. Compile a list of your favourites:

  • Have a list of books you love?
  • Courses you took around marketing?
  • Top 10 favourite YouTubers you can’t stop watching?
  • If you have favourites, there’s a chance your target audience will not only want to consume that content but also thank you for a curated list of your favourite resources.

6. Make them laugh:

  • Laughter is one of the best ways to make yourself memorable, and you can do that using memes.
  • I personally use www.canva.com for designing posts or the Meme Generator app to get inspiration.
  • Here’s an example of a sarcastic post by Zain Kahn.

7. Answer FAQs:

  • This one is by far one of the easiest content styles to execute right away.
  • Simply go to www.answerthepublic.com and enter your industry keyword in the search bar.
  • You will find plenty of questions people are consistently asking about your industry keyword.

So, to summarise:

  1. Share industry news
  2. Share nuggets from a book
  3. Bust a myth
  4. Share the unexpected
  5. Compile a list of tools/resources
  6. Share a meme
  7. Answer FAQs

Use these 7 ideas, and you will never have to worry about running out of content ideas.

Question for you:

Which content idea was the easiest one for you? Simply reply to this email with a number from 1 to 7.

P.S. Some of you mentioned that my emails are ending up in the Promotions tab. Could you please move it to your primary tab and respond with a simple ‘Yes’ so your email provider knows I’m not spamming you? It would mean a lot.

Thanks for doing that!

Have a great weekend,

Areeb

Hey there, So you started creating content. But you are not sure if it would be sustainable. You don’t know how to earn those dollars that everyone seems to be earning. There are people who’d claim that you can make money in the next 7 days. But it’s important to note that people pay for the value you bring for the skills and experience you have. If you don’t have skills and you don’t have any results, it’s highly unlikely you will earn in the next 7 or 30 days. That’s why we are taking 90...

Hey there, Back in 2019, when I got a job at FSSAI (without an interview), I started getting multiple messages from college students every day to guide them on how to get a job there. Since I had already done it, it wasn’t rocket science for me. But I knew personal branding was relatively a new concept to my audience, so I made a video about my story: https://youtu.be/iHL9qHD_K2o Some students said I just got lucky. Some students said they were inspired. But only a few of them tried posting...

Hey there, Let’s play a game today. Can you spot a mistake new creators are making in the following two examples: Example 1: I got on a phone call with a friend who wanted to get started with content creation in the coding (software development) space. He said he has set goals for his IG reels as well. What’s the goal? you might ask. Well, he wanted to hit 30K followers within 6 months. Isn’t setting goals a good thing, Areeb? Of course, it is. We all need goals not just in social media, but...
